Kingdom of Dreams

Today I visited the Kingdom of Dreams on my Dad's birthday.I went to the Culture Gully. It was totally stupefying,I say. With the roof exactly like the sky,I was already sure it was gonna turn out great.Culture Gully comprises of several Indian states's pavilions cum restuaurants. It is like a culinary journey with kaleidoscope in hand.First was Punjab. There was a truck displayed and a dhaba. There were kites, mud walls and lanterns. For a moment I thought I was standing in Punjabi soil.

Then I visited West Bengal. There was the famous Chinatown market.Inside was a restaurant in which all the food in the menu was the one that was in the Chinatown market. There was also a Kali Ma's huge mask.
Now I'll tell you about Maharashtra. There was the famous clock tower built by the British. There were billboards about classic movies, expressing one point of interest,Bollywood. There was also a Mumbai local bus.And a popular public transport fo
Maharashtra,local train.

Kashmir had special carpets and chairs, which looked as the finest in their class because they looked exceedingly comfy.

Rajasthan was different from the rest. There was a Chowkidhani, and low seats which looked as the odd one out,but my favourite of the all.Don't forget the puppets, which looked like were being controlled by a master.

Kerala was stunning too.It had been made into a houseboat, since it's in the South with lots of water.Surely the architects who made this place would have a brain twice the size of us,I think.

Lucknow looked the most majestic of all. With glorious chandeliers and awesome lighting, this was by far,the best of all.It was probably so good because of the Nawabs who lived there.

Goa was looking really bright.Inside the restaurant, there was a mind-blowing design with bottles thought the menu was filled with items which I thought were from the Andromeda galaxy.

Chennai looked colourful too. There were really intricate and detailed
designs, and looked perfectly up to the mark.

Karnataka also had detailing with every point being done carefully but surely wasn't as appealing as Chennai since it looked dull with no bright colours but lots of elephants' designs thrown in.

I could see the famous Sun Temple of Konarka came out alive in the Orissa pavilion.

I enjoyed listening to the folk music of Rajasthan and watching the Bihu dance of Assam.

I wrapped up the visit by relishing some lip-licking treats from different states

I was surely dazzled strolling through  the Culture Gully. Now it is your turn to step in!!

Student council elections 2014-15

Student council elections were held yesterday. The first category was head boy and I was one out of the two nominees.I spoke a short and crisp speech. Then I  kept on tingling and couldn't even wait a minute for the results.Being the Head Boy of the primary was a dazzling dream come true. The other categories were Head girl and House Captains. Then the results came……..The first category was Head Boy,so the first result was the Head Boy.Our principal announced -The Head Boy is-(I could feel lots of sweat pouring on me) Sssssss. Our principal hadn't finished but my name starts with S and the other nominee's doesn't.I felt like jumping but I realised I was in school. But I still felt I was in seventh heaven. Then she said 'Satyakam' and I walked up to the stage with so much happiness that I thought I might burst.Believe me,I feel honoured to be the Head Boy as much as I could be knighted by the Queen. It is a huge responsibility, but I think my shoulders can lift it,and I hope I become one of the best Head Boy ever in our school. At my first day as Head boy,I became the MC for the Independence Day programme. So I'm looking forward to being a Head Boy.So,wish me luck!

Ferrari World

I'm back from a trip to Dubai and first I'm gonna tell you about my trip to Ferrari World.First of all,Ferrari world was in Abu Dhabi, which is a two hour drive from here.Ferrari world is a humongous park.First of all,I saw real Ferraris.Old ones, new ones and F1 cars. But the Ferrari 458 Italia looked stunning to me.It is a new one. With a V8 engine,it looked gorgeous. But then I saw the Formula Rossa, the fastest roller coaster in the world. It looked terrifying to me.But then I thought if I had done the coaster,50% of the park would already be done.It looked bone-chilling. But then I had to do it.We waited for 10 minutes and then went on.We had to put on a tight seatbelt, put on goggles and almost glue our head to the seat or otherwise it would result in serious injury. And then we took of like a rocket. It was simply brutal acceleration. It was going so fast for a moment thought my head would snap.I held on as tightly as I could. The coaster was extraordinary.I did ride a small F1 car around a small track. It was fun,but the car was terribly slow. Then I watched a 4D movie about Ferrari and Italy. The effects were great.I also drove a remote control Ferrari on a track. Then we saw a spectacular acrobatic show with great tricks called 'red'.Then I had lunch and then played games. In the end ,I went on another roller coaster but it was nowhere near to the Formula Rossa. It was slower and not so scary and we didn't have to wear gogles.Out of all the rides, the Formula Rossa was the best. But I can say,The trip to Ferrari world was a success. It surely was a memorable event.
