Bookaroo festival

I never miss a chance to visit the annual bookaroo festival. This time the fair was held at IGNCA  Ganpath. There were a lot many authors and storytellers coming to participate. There were many sessions with authors, with each of them telling us about their favourite things, adventures and books.I had an extremely fun session with Gabrielle Wang at school, who was also there at the festival. She told us about her books, and how she thought of them. This gave me a constant urge to write a book.I also ran into her at the festival.I attended a session with Lucy Hawking, the daughter of the legendary Stephen Hawking.I can say the session was nothing short of spectacular.Watching the presentation of the universe made me feel as if I was in another galaxy. She told us about the origin of the universe, the sombero galaxy and other stunning facts about space. The part I enjoyed the most was an animated video. It showed us what it would be like to play soccer on all the planets in the solar system to explain to us the conditions and weather of each planet, which I liked. She told us about her father, her hometown and more. She told us about wormholes, black holes, galaxies, stars and other properties of space. The presentation was excellent. After that,at the book signing where we could get Lucy Hawking's autograph, the line was enormous. After the session ended,I sprinted to the book signing table to make sure I get a good spot in the queue. The bookshop there was nice with a great variety of books.I also gobbled down a few snacks. But after all,it turned out to be good day.So hats off to Bookaroo!

Music I am hooked to

Imagine Dragons-No music lover can possibly survive without Radioactive and Demons. The touch of Indie Rock in their songs is awesome.

Green Day-The greatest punk band ever formed. The trio makes such amazing rock music with amazing solos, awesome lyrics and vocals, with the drums perfectly taking their place.

Maroon 5-One of the most well known bands, with uncountable hits, and fans all over the globe. Maps, Payphone , Moves like jagger are some amazing songs.

Linkin Park-What a band! The DJ makes this mind-blowing band unique. The members of this group are hugely talented. The vocals with the rap is great, and you can’t miss one album of theirs.

Onerepublic-Counting stars has made this band on it’s road to glory. The other songs of the miraculous band are also worth to hear.

U2-An old band but a classic competitor. My,the new album released this year is nice.Such Great songs. And better, songs of innocence was free.

Bryan Adams-Summer of 69 with such thunderous guitarring is a chart topper. When you listen to his other songs, you know the artist is just astounding.

Europe-Though this one isn't a continent, but it still can mesmerize a whole continent.Every classic rock CD you come across,I can bet you at least one song will be sung by Europe.I just can't stop listening to rock the night, the final countdown.

Top Gear

Top Gear is a top-class TV show on cars. In the show, they talk and review cars. Though it’s a car show which is a notch above all the others, it’s also

A hilarious one. There are three producers-Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May. Hammond is my favorite. The sense of humor the trio have is one that sends me in splits. All of them are always teasing each other, which I totally approve because it’s funny. They review mind-blowing, stylish, lightning fast cars and then have some fun with them such as races, a four wheeled version of tag, or take them to a beautiful place where there is a sensitive environment, and it’s empty. They always call a celebrity and then make them take a lap around the Top Gear track in their reasonably-priced car, and then put their lap time on a board, which contains all the lap times of all the celebrities that have come. At the end of each season, they have a Top Gear special in which the producers give them a dare or challenge to do something such as-Find the real source of the River Nile, build a bridge etc. The chucklesome things they do and say are something special. Boy, I wish I had a sense of humor they have. It is one of the best shows I have ever watched. They discuss mistakes, accidents and other unusual but funny things with hilarious lines which makes the audience giggle. I am addicted to this show .I love it! I just hope this show never ends!

Digital Divide

Digital Divide is a term meaning the gap between internet users and non-internet users. We are trying to bridge the gap of the Digital Divide, especially in India. The unpriveldged aren't familiar at all with typing, looking at the screen and going to the internet. Most of the village citizens haven't even heard of these things. It is obvious people who frantically search for their meal have no access to Google. As these laptops become more hi-tech and stylish, some people don't even know what a basic computer is.If we narrow it,it would improve literacy, democracy, economic equality and economic growth. The Digital Divide typically exists between those in cities and those in rural areas, between the educated and the uneducated etc.It would be great if we could lend a hand,by educating those who don't have the opportunities or skills. Some kids from our school have already gone to the village schools, and have taught them the basics in the newly installed computers.Looking at this portion of the country using the keyboard and mouse makes me feel truly amazing.Poverty is large in this nations, but we should try to accomplish making everyone know how to use a computer.Who knows computer whizzes and geniuses may blossom from rural areas.Well, then let's try to shape these minds!

El Classico

El Classico is a nickname for the battle of the giants-Real Madrid and Barcelona.I am a big fan of Real Madrid. This time Madrid beat their rival Barca 3-1.I jumped up and down, full of happiness because of this result.Ronaldo and their team ruined Suarez's debut after four months because of biting Chiellini in the four-goal thriller. It was Suarez's pass who put Neymar on goal, and made Barcelona take the lead in just four minutes.Real nearly leveled on ten minutes when Ronaldo crossed from the left, and Benzema headed on to the bar. After the rebound he smashed another shot goalwards that grazed the bar with Bravo beaten.Bravo then saved from Kroos' long shot as Real kept the pressure up.After 15 minutes,Suarez was the only forward not to be bookes as both Messi and Neymar had recieved Yellow cards. From the spot-kick Cristiano Ronaldo scored to end Bravo’s run of 776 minutes in La Liga without conceding and set up the second half perfectly. The match was entertaining.Pepe then made Real take the lead after scoring a header in the 50th minute. Then Benzema also scored. The match was worthy watching after great shots and saves.Casillas also was good. The vikings let down Barcelona. It was an awesome match.

Spooktactular Halloween

Today we celebrated Halloween, the ancient Samhain holiday. We kicked off this spine-chilling holiday with a PowerPoint Presentation on how Halloween is celebrated, and the history of this frightful festival.A few students also played Hedwig's theme on the guitar(the Harry Potter theme ).Then we had a parade, with the whole school. It was interesting to see ghouls, goblins, skeletons, zombies, vampires, witches and other unique dreadful characters. Some students got goosebumps looking at the terrifying creatures lurking there,as some overcame their fears.as pumpkins, witches and bats hung in the atrium,it was obvious that people would get a shock looking at those decorations with other hair-raising characters around you.Teachers also dressed up.After all,who doesn't like Halloween. There's nothing like dressing up,scaring others to make them get the fright of their lives.Boy,the school was in a different shape, quite the opposite of a mirror reflection of normal days. And this wasn't it.The Student Council had organized a haunted house to bring up the mood of Halloween even more.Spooky creatures popping out and scaring you, with blood all over the ground, and also pretending to dead and removing organs.I'll say only fearless persons would have dared to walk in there .Then I came home. There it was scary too.Trick or Treating was a good time. When someone wouldn't give us those scrumptious sweets,we would hang a sign on their door saying'Death is only the beginning'.We also scared kids, which made them go crying to their Mamas. It was a classic Halloween, with the chill of the festival in the air.We also got stuck in a lift.Boy,
I won't say you could pass through our colony in a breeze. You would be getting scared by ghouls popping out from nowhere,or get rampaged on by skeletons demanding candy. This was one of the best days in this year, but a spooktactular one.May luck be yours on Halloween!
