TEAM OF THEY YEAR 2016/17 MIDFIELDERS

CDM-N’Golo Kante_____The man who never stops running has been a revelation this season, one of the key factors in guiding Chelsea to the title.  The French engine was unstoppable, latching on to so many passes with tons of interceptions, and his unbelievable stamina was vital to Chelsea. He also won quite a lot of awards, including the PFA player of the year. His work rate, stamina, agility and awareness is out of this world, the little Frenchman cannot be bettered by anyone else.

CM-Luka Modric____Luka Modric this season was an absolute magician in Real’s midfield, partnering up with Toni Kroos to form a partnership that was unstoppable. His ability to glide past players, unlock the defense with killer passes and was a maestro all along. His performance in the Champions league final too was outstanding, providing a great assist for Ronaldo to secure the win. Despite his stellar performance, the Croatian did not get a team of the season card in FIFA 17, triggering many comments against EA SPORTS.

CM-Toni Kroos____Toni Kroos, the passing perfectionist was an assist king for Real Madrid, playing most games and striving to four trophies this season. He had a staggering pass completion rate of 93% in the champions league. He also popped up with goals too, in important situations as the two footed German racked up 12 assists in La Liga this season. He was arguably the best midfielder in the world, tracking back and making hard tackles, also creating loads on the offensive side.

SERGIO RAMOS!

Sergio Ramos, Real Madrid's glorious captain, and saviour in some games this season has been a vital member of the squad in Los Blancos' 2016/17 season. The centre-back is on a mind-blowing 8 goals this season, with 6 of them coming in the league. Sergio Ramos is also the highest-scoring defender since 2010, with a staggering 26 goals. Not only has he been on fire this season, he has overtaken Neymar AND Bale in number of goals in the league, who are two of the world's best wingers. His heading skills plus his defensive skills make him the ultimate defender. He has been scoring goals, and he turns up in the most important of games.  Perhaps the most famous was his dramatic equaliser in the 90th minute in El Clasico, and also scored another injury time winner against Deportivo to make it 3-2 the next week. He scored a cheeky 'Panenka' penalty against his former club, Sevilla in the Copa Del Rey which was an extremely close game. He also turned up to score two goals against Malaga to get Madrid back to winning ways. He is the second highest-scorer for Real this season behind Cristiano Ronaldo, ahead of the likes of Benzema, Morata, and Bale. Has Sergio Ramos been Real Madrid's most prolific and important player this season?
