The extraordinary elections

Well, the biggest exercise in the biggest Democracy-The Parliamentary elections  were held this April-May over seven phases in our country India. The results were Manmohan Singh resigning and Narendra Modi becoming the Prime Minister.Well,BJP got 282 seats with leaving Congress behind at somewhere around 45.The surprising thing was AAP got only 4 seats, all in Punjab.Even I was hoping that Modi becomes the Prime Minister, and I felt this was surely going to happen, and it did! He's the first Prime Minister to be born in Independent India on 17th September,1950.Friday,the day the elections results were out was one day when all Indians were hooked on to their TV's.The results were even being shown at Times Square in New York, which proves that how important the Indian elections are.I could see Arnab Goswami debating from 6 am till 12 pm.I was surprised to hear that even celebrities were candidates for the elections. Some examples are Bhaichung Bhutia,Mohammed Azharuddin,Mohd Kaif,Hema Malini and Paresh Rawal. BJP got all the seven seats in Delhi which is a total opposite of the 2009 elections,in which Congress got all seven.Dr Harshwardhan who missed on becoming Delhi CM,finally is a MP from Chandni Chowk constituency where my Nanu-Nani voted. If Delhi assembly elections are held right now,BJP would surely defeat AAP.But then,Dr Harshwardhan has to give up his MP seat if he wants to become CM.Where I live,Gurgaon has also been won by BJP's Rao Inderpal Singh.Modi actually deserves it because his interviews and speeches are great and he was a brilliant CM.Most of the people I know like Modi. But is Modi going to turn out such a great Prime Minister that makes our country clean, urbanised, technologically advanced ,poverty-free and such elements to leave such a big and advanced country like USA speechless? You never know! You might as well keep your fingers crossed for the upcoming five years.
